 12 July 2018 A high-tech metal processing plant Metal Processing LLC will open in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of “Uztekstilprom”.

The new sheet metal mill, created in collaboration with local Metal Processing, is designed to cater to a wide range of customer needs, from complex machine parts to small custom solutions. Investments in the latest equipment and sheet metal processing technologies will benefit all consumers thanks to Swiss quality, competitive prices and on-time delivery.

The project was implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uztekstilprom Association, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other departments.

The launch of a metalworking project in Uzbekistan marks the beginning of a new era in sheet metal production. This is not only a major step in the localization of Rieter machines in the republic, but also an important contribution to the development of the modern metalworking industry not only in Uzbekistan, but throughout Central Asia.

In order to implement the Program for the localization and reduction of imports, the Uztekstilprom Association together with the Rieter AG company organized a visit of the Swiss delegation headed by the Federal Minister of Economy, Education and Scientific Research of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Amman to Uzbekistan on July 12-13, 2018.

A Swiss delegation headed by Mr. Johann Schneider-Ammann, Federal Minister of Economy, Education and Research of Switzerland, will take part in the opening ceremony of a sheet metal plant specializing in the production of high-precision metal parts using the latest European equipment.

As part of the Swiss delegation, the opening ceremony will also be attended by His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan, Mr. Olivier Chave, Ambassador, Head of the Economic Cooperation and Development Department of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of SECO, Mr. Raymund Furrer, Head of the Europe and Central Asia Office of Bilateral Economic Cooperation of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO Tony Moret, President of the Swiss Business Federation “Economiesuisse” Heinz Karrer, Secretary of the Group and General Counsel of Rieter Management AG (production of textile machinery) Thomas Anwander and others.

From the Uzbek side, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uztekstilprom Association, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Innovative Development, manufacturers of textile and clothing and knitwear products, as well as representatives of the media will take part in the opening of the new plant.
